Southpaw – A Summer of Sensory, by Robert Cooke.
So as September comes to a close, after 4 crazy months of installations, I have finally got the chance to sit at my desk and catch up with some admin and start work on the 2018 Southpaw catalogue. However, before I get lost in that bottomless pit of work, now is a great time to reflect on the fruits of our labours, the wonderful customers we have met along the way and the lovely things they have had to say about Southpaw.
The numbers are pretty daunting when looking back on them and they probably explain why my kitchen cupboards are empty, the works van looks “well used” and there are a few extra grey hairs on my head!
17 Sensory Integration spaces
12 Multi Sensory Environments
38 Days on site
100’s of cups of coffee
1000’s of miles driven
And a little too much fast food eaten!
We’ve travelled far and wide, Durham to the New Forest, Carmarthen to Maidstone and everywhere in between! Working back to back to fit a wide range of rooms of all shapes and sizes, see below for a sneaky peek at some of the equipment we have had the pleasure of fitting.
However when it all comes down to it, it is the customers’ happiness and the benefits the room provides the clients which matters above all else. We have had so many wonderful comments and we are grateful for each and every one. However, the one which summed it up to make it all worthwhile is:
“the room has made a massive impact on the children’s lives”
Which means I can’t wait to do it all again for our next customers!
